Young at Heart is traditionally linked to not feeling old, but it is much more than that. It is about that feeling you get when you put your struggles to one side and embrace the moment to live to the fullest.
Too often we are held back by barriers that are placed in front of us, either by our own limitations, environmental barriers or by others perceptions of what is possible or allowed.
Young people don't share this fear, they play with the box rather than the toy, say what they think, make up games and change the rules so they win. All this in the name of experiencing joy and connection.
This is my view of being Young at Heart, and why I strive to embrace the possibilities despite what is thought to be normal and possible to do.
